E-mails???

After I've tried so many times today to send E-mails to
companies that they gave me their E-mail address none of
my E-mails won't send today so I'm confused why they won't
send. My E-mail address is (e-mail address removed) Please
advise what is causing the problem & how to get the
outlook express back to normal. It usually works but no E-
mails will send so they just show up in the outbox only. I
wrote down companies E-mails correctly after I spoke whth
them several times but none will send. I've received so
many E-mails today but none will send. Please advise what
the problem is & how to get the outbox 4 e-mails to send
to companies which requested my info & resume. Thanks

Are you saying that they are stuck in the Outbox? Do you get an error
message?

What version of Windows are you using as you seem to be using Outlook
Express version 5.5 suggesting you are not using Windows XP.

Check whether the option to "Compact messages in background" in Tools,
Options, Maintenance has been selected. It should be deselected as the use
of this option invariably leads to folder corruption and causes slow
performance.

Copy your messages from your Outbox to your Drafts folder. Then create a
folder by placing the cursor on Local Folder and select File, Folder, New
and name it AASentItems. Move all messages from your Sent Items folder to
your new folder. Close Out look Express.

If you are using Windows XP you need to enable show hidden files. Start,
Control Panel, Folder Options, View, Advanced Settings. Next enter Windows
Explorer. Using Tools, Find, Files and Folders search My computer with
"outbo*.db*" without quotes as the search criteria. Delete all files found.
Repeat the process using "Sent Ite*.db*" without quotes as the search
criteria and delete files found. When you reopen Outlook Express the system
will automatically regenerate a new Outbox and Send Items folder.

Next in Outlook Express try a Send and Receive.

In future when you wish to compact place the cursor on Outlook Express in
the Folder List and run File, Folder, Compact All whilst Offline.

If the message still does not leave the Outbox we need you to copy and paste
the error message. When you do a Send and Receive an Outlook Express Window
appears. You should see in the lower part of the Windows two tabs headed
Tasks and Errors. If you click on the Errors tab you will find details of
any errors. If the bottom part of the Outlook Express window is missing then
you need to click on the Details button.

I hate to tell you this, but you are aout to be deluged with spam.
NEVER post your real mail address in a newsgroup. There are bots out
there that scan headers and posts, culling mail addresses for spamming
purposes.

I hope you need a cheaper mortgage, inexpensive prescriptions for
Cialis, Levitra and Viagra, and need you manhood enlarged. Your about
to get lots of ads for that stuff.

Often your ISP has a problem which may last a day or so. Sometimes it's
due to their upgrading. Try tomorrow. Or call them and see what they
say.
