Dynamic DNS and DHCP

Here is the Issue.

We have a Mixed environment Of Unix Windows workstations and Servers. Currently we have DNS on a Linux box. We are in the process of migrating Linux DNS to Windows 2000. Basic Functionality works fine but the problem is that when a machine boots up gets an IP address and sends the hosts name and Ipaddress to the DNS server updates the Forward lookup Zone and the Reverse no problem. Where we run into the problem when another computer with a different name gets the same IP address for forward and the reverse the old Ip address does not go away. This may cause confliction with our network for applications that need to communicate with servers with that particular Ip address.

Is there any way to make sure that the Reverse lookup Zone gets updated with the new Ip address with the new host name?

Thanks
