When i put DVD+R Blank My DVDRW From acer can read the DVD..
When i put DVD+R Blank to second drive it can not read the DVD and the

In Recording tab from drive properties is check for record on MASTER

and when i change the setting recording tab set to Slave DVDRW.
Slave DVDRW can read the blank DVD and The MASTER DVDRW can not read..

I want to set master and slave in recording tab but it can only set 1 (

These should just work. Its totally a hardware thing.

As long as you have the jumpers on the back of the drives set correctly you
should be OK.

Some common issues:
1.New drive is set to slave, but the old drive was set to CS not Master.
2.Cable is bad.
3.Some drives preffer to be on a UDMA channel(usually a BLUE connector on
the motherboard). Be sure to use a 40 pin 80 wire cable for best results. I
also reccomend placing all drives to CS in this situation.

Finally, get a real cd writing program. I am not trying to be mean, but the
builtin XP stuff is garbage.

My fave is NERO 7(today). That along with DVDSanta and a few codecs and a
CSS decrytper (I know, people say the only reason for these is to pirate
stuff. These people obviously do not have a toddler in the house.)serve all
my cd and dvd and file ripping needs beautifully.

Thanks' for responce

Jumper already set to Master and Slave

Cable is OK and is 40 pin 80 wire ON UDMA channel

i still can not set both drive to recording using internal burning
software XP.
Only one device at a time.

is this limitation from Windows XP ???

Thanks

Yes, only one at a time. If you want two at a time, you will need 3rd
party software.

Yup. I have two dvdrws and when you check one off the other becomes
unchecked.

NERO 7 is really what I preffer. It even has direct burn plug ins for media
player.
