DVD RW

I have DVD R/RW from Pacific Digital and attempting to download slideshow
using Photo Story 3 with Sonic supported software (at extra cost I might add)
and when try to copy using DVD RW it does not see the disc install error
"Please insert disc." I have tried two name brand disc manufactures (Sony
and Memorex), SAME ERROR. I have also tried to burn from Nero Slidehow
program with the same result. Can write to DVD+R just not to DVD RW what I'm
i doing something or this in XP?

It sounds like there is something wrong with your drive. XP can most
definitely write to a DVD+RW with the appropriate software.
Is your drive supposed to be able to write to DVD+RW and DVD-RW (There is no
DVD RW).

Thank for your response. Yes I'm sure my Drive is a RW dirve. It's a
DVD+RW sorry left the + off my posting, as I noted I can burn to a DVD+R disc
but not DVD+RW. Look forward to any assitance or sugestions you may have.

It looks to me like that your drive is not working right. Your experience
seems to look like a bad laser (it can't emit the light for the RW
function).
