I have 2 drives on my Sony desktop.
E: DVD ROM Compact disc what is this one for and what disc do I use?
F: Compact rewritable disc - high speed what is this one for and what disc
do I use?

I have cd-r compact disc recordable
I have DVD+RW disc can I use either of these for pictures?

Also my Kodak easy share program gives a choice of 4x 8x 12x 16x 24x what
does this mean? Which one do I use?

This drive will *read* CDs and DVDs.
you can even play DVD movies if you
have the correct software.

This is what is commonly called a *burner*
and you can burn Music and/or Data to
CD-R disks and CD-RW disks.

FWIW...this drive will also *read* CDs.

Unless you have a DVD burner...you
cannot use the DVD+RW disks.

But, yes...if you have a DVD burner you
can use either disk for pictures.

I suspect these are choices for the
speed of your burner, if you have a
problem burning a disk at a high speed,
a lower speed might correct the issue.
