DVD player wont read\play my MM file

I'm new to this but have successfully created a simple "test" file in MM2. I
have also copied this file to a DVD+RW ok., using NTI CD and DVD maker
software - which was part of the software package on my new laptop.

Anyway, so far so good. But when I put the DVD in my DVD player it just
will not work displaying the message "Cannot play this disc"

So 2 questions:
1. Does MM2 have this capability and
2. If so, what am I doing wrong - What should I be doing to create my own
"movie" on a DVD+RW to play on my DVD player??

One of two things has likely happened.

1) You burned a "data" DVD meaning the video whether it was WMV or AVI was
burned directly onto your DVD and DVD Players cannot read these files.

2) You burned the project file (MSWMM extension) which is not a video at all
just information for Movie Maker about your project so you can close it and
open it later for future editing.

NTI CD & DVD maker is a suite of applications so you get different results
depending on how you go about your task. I haven't used a recent enough
version to be able to say much outside of that. You need to use NTI as a DVD
Authoring program to create your DVD.

Another possibility is a compatibility issue as some DVD Players don't work
with RW media and still some other only work with +R or -R but not both and
still others work with any one of the three with no problems at all.
