DVD device corrupted

Have a brand new Dell B 120 one week old. Loaded game Fable and now the DVD
plays for a few seconds and then goes to blue screen and tells us device
corrupted and mm_pool error. Went to device manager and the DVD CD are in
working order. CD plays music just fine. Put in a DVD and then we get the
blue screen in a few seconds or it won't play the DVD at all. Have done a
restore but it didn't help. Any suggestions

Bad hardware. The CD part uses different lasers hence the fact that it
plays CDs but not DVDs leads to the belief that the hardware is broken.
That it is only one week old does not prove anything. Hardware breaks
whenever it breaks regardless of age. So, call Dell (which is what you
should have done anyway).
