Drag but no Drop

D

Don Cox

I am able to left click on an object and drag it to a
folder, but I am unable to "drop" it. The only way that I
am able to move an object is to first cut it, and then
paste it into the folder. Any ideas as to why my drag
won't drop?

TIA.

Enable dragging and dropping.
Right click your taskbar and click properties
Click the "Start Menu" tab
Click Customize by whichever style start menu your using.
If your using classic then place a check in the box next to "Enable dragging
and dropping"
If your using XP Start menu then you need to click the "Advanced" tab first
then click the check box.

Don,

Do you have ClickLock enabled? That would require you to click the mouse
again to drop something. You can check this in the Control Panel, click on
Mouse and see if the checkbox for ClickLock is checked.
