dpms mode off

My computer keeps shutting off on me in the middle of work I am doing. I
have taken the computer to be checked out and I am always told that the
hardware is fine. I have noticed that before the computer shuts down every
time the screen goes black and a little blue box says DPMS mode off. Any help
is greatly appreciated. Thanks
