Downloading videos ... DL pauses when pc goes into standby HELP!

Hi, Im new to these groups but thought maybe someone could help me out ... i
am using a laptop and am downloading videos which take a longgggg time so i
would like to just let the downloads keep going all day but when im away from
PC it goes into standby after so many mins and the download stops! Is there a
way to set the laptop so it doesnt go into standby becuase the internet
connection also stops when the pc does.

You need to change the power option to "always on" but make sure the laptop
is running on mains power and not battery. Right click on your desktop go to
properties and screensaver, then select power change the setting to "always
on"
