downloading off the Internet

I am having problems downloading anything off the
Internet. I used to be able to just double click on a
download and it would start downloading automatically,
then I had to right click and then save target to, but
now even that doesn't work. I do use a downloader,
(Getright) for help downloading, but I've never had
problems with the program.

You may have spyware/malware on your system that is preventing you from
downloading properly. It's hard to say exactly because you don't really
give any information about your system. Start by removing spyware with
Spybot Search & Destroy from www.security.kolla.de and Ad-aware from
www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure to update these programs before running
them. It is best to run antivirus and spyware removal tools in Safe
Mode. Use Disk Cleanup to delete temporary and Temporary Internet
Files. Be sure you have a current (post-2002 version with updated
definitions) antivirus running. When you are sure the machine is clean,
if the problem still persists, please post back with information about
your system and what you've already done to troubleshoot.
