Downloading Large Files

When I download a large file, it seems to go to a temporary folder even if I
am saving it to my desktop, when the download completes, it is then
transferred from the temp folder to the location I originally chose to save
the file to. Is there a way to eliminate the file from going to the temp
folder first, instead go directly to the location I am saving the file to?

Thanks in advance.

i don't think that is a good idea. When downloading any file, it is a good
idea to let windows use your temp folder to temporarily store it. If the
download is successful, windows will move the "completed" downloaded to the
folder of your choosing and rename the file. Since the downloads are "setup"
programs you can store them to a cd or special folder of your choosing.

I don't know if it is a good idea to use your "desktop" as the location for
your downloads and or temporary files like these. You will cause problems
for yourself when you click on the desktop icon, and it is the setup program
instead of the program executiable. Also, if the download sets up the files
and expand or extract in a folder that is not temporary, you may find dozens
of files and icons all over your desktop as well.

I recommend you use a download manager with antivirus capability to help you
manage your internet grazen cravens.......
