distribution list

Can I create a contact distribution list under public folder for the people
to use in my department when they need to send a mass mailing email. And be
able to limit the use to only my department not the whole company

permissions are set on a per folder basis. If you have your IT section make
a Contacts Folder (in Public Folders) with the relevant permissions, that's
where you can make the Distribution List.
