When I do disk cleanup it just opens and it says "calculating how much space
you have on your harddrive" and there is those 3 loading boxes at the bottom
in green and it just stays like that. I left it for 2 hours and it didn't
even move. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks
Maybe running the disk cleanup from the command line will help. Maybe.
Go to start -> Run and type cleanmgr /sageset 2 . This will ask you what
drive and options yo use when cleaning the disk. This command will not
actually run the cleanup wizard, but you have stored your settings. Now,
got to Start -> Run and type cleanmgr /sagerun 2 . If the problem still
persists, then try redoing the cleanmgr /sageset 2 and chosing differnt
options(I don't like it compressing my files, for instance). Maybe
trying to access Temp Internet files is causeing it to freeze? anyhow,
you can use other numbers than 2. I think you can have some 6 000
possible option combinations. This comes in reall handy if you want to
make batch files, too.
