Disconnecting from Win2K Server

I have win98(second edition) clients and domain with OS
of 2K. I am experiencing the following problem.

1. While maping to the domain's sharefolders, domain is
accepting my request. after a short while, if we access
the mapped drive it diaplay 'ACCESS DENIED' message and
getting no access. During that time i can access other
network clients otherthan domain.

2. While re-mapping, it gets connected.

We are using TCP/IP concept in the netowrk.
All our clients are win98SE and later
win2k has updated SP

how to overcome this?

Regards,
Suresh

What is the message when you make a connection from
a DOS Prompt?

net use x: \\YourServer\SomeShare

Since the Command Prompt will not poll network connections
in the background, the message you report must be generated
by something else. I suggest that you stick to the Command
Prompt for the time being, and report all messages verbatim.

Try this:

net use x: \\YourServer\SomeShare
dir x:\

What do you see? Remember: Verbatim messages!

Ten minutes later:

dir x:\

What to you see now?
