Disappearing images

I have large PowerPoints created with Office 03 containing 500-600
photographs. They play perfectly in XP, but in Vista and Windows7, after
showing about 200 sllides, the images start disappearing on a random basis.
I have spent many, many hours trouble shooting since I have paid performances
scheduled, but nothing seems to help. I have already tried pretty much
everything, but am hoping someone might have a suggestion that I haven't
tried. Kind of at my wit's end here and sorry I got the new computer, but
the old one was dying.

That sounds like a system resources issue.

Check how much RAM the computer has and what programs are running in the
background. If you have not already, you may want to optimize the images to
help lower the computer's load.
