Extracting TIFF images from PDF files

Greetings All!

I'm needing to extract the TIFF images of individual pages from scanned books that have been bundled into PDF files (like Google Books or Internet Archive). I have a freeware OCR program, but it won't read a PDF, (and I'd rather not have to type 600+ page books for our Homeschoolers).

I TRIED to use the SomePDF program, and it give me a KERNELBASE.dll file is missing error, so that appears to be a "no-go".
Any suggestions?
