Windows XP disable virus scan

thanks for ur reply...am using symantec,and why am asking for this is i have to use one 3rd party application fro generating some reports and need to send thru mail..So report creation will happen automatically but before send mail outlook is asking for user confirmation like the attachment doesnt contain virus,so if i can disable the virus scan then the mail also will fire automatically...
