Disable popping sound when copying and pasting

When I click Copy (or CTRLC) I get a poping sound. When I click Paste, I get
a different popping sound.

I would rather disable both.

I have selected None for all of the sounds in Control Panel-Sounds and Audio
Devices-Sounds-Program events

but the sounds persist.

How can I permanently disable these sounds? If this requires a Registry
change, please provide detailed instructions.

Thanks for your assistance.

Sounds like you may have a hardware problem to me. And it might be your
sound card is starting to go. Although another thing I would check for
is a newer version of your sound card driver. If you have the latest,
try an older version. As sometimes newer versions have more bugs then
older versions. Yes I know it is hard to believe, but it is true.
