Direct CD driver

My CD and DVD are working fine but I could not read an older cd created on my
older computer using Direct CD. I put a disc in and loaded Direct CD. Now,
on start up I get this mesg.
! Devices or applications disabled Direct CD will cause windows to become
unstable. Windows has prevented these drivers from loading. Click here for
more details.
It's just an annoying nasty gram that pops up at every start up. At this
point I'd just like to remove it. I've looked in msconfig/startup and there
is no entry that referes to it. Any ideas on how I can remove this driver?
