dialup at start

Running windows xp. During startup after login-in my
internet connection begins to dialup by itself to connect
to internet I have to cancel dialup serveral times. How
can I disable this function. Dialup thru modem.

Go to Start>run and type msconfig
Click on the startup tab and look for any programs in the startup list that
you think may be causing it to dial out automatically (ie- spyware programs
etc) Untick them and restart and see if the problem disappears. Let us know
how you go.
