Dial Up Modems

I am going to remove/uninstall a LucentWin K56 V90 modem and replace it with
a V.92 U.S. Robotics Modem #USR5699B .

Does anyone have any special uninstall/remove instructions and installation
instructions?

1st. got to the control panel, add and remove programs, remove the modem
there if it is listed.
2nd. got to system folder in control panel, click the + sign beside modems,
highlight the modem listed under there and uninstall it.
3rd. shut down computer and insert new modem and turn power back on.
4th. insert new modem cd with drivers into the cd rom drive, and it should
find and install the modem and drivers.
(if it doesn't find the drivers on the cd, browse the cd for an install
program or a setup.exe file.
