Details List / Choose details to View

In folders, when you choose View > Choose Details ,
the "keywords" detail is not on the long list of 37
choices, even though there is a "keywords" box in file
properties that can be written to.

Anybody know why this is ? - keywords appears to be the
only item not listed in 'choose details'.

thanks

Explorer|View|Details Then Explorer|Tools|Folder Options|View, then "Apply
To All Folders". Depending on your likings, you may also need to check
"Remember each folder's view settings"

David, thanks for the reply, but...

Followed your steps below, but the 'keywords' property is
still not showing up as a choice when I'm in details view
in explorer - there are 37 choices, but no 'keywords'.
Using Win XP home edition, V5.1, sp 2.
Do other versions have 'keywords' in the list of detail
choices ?

thanks

OK now I'm with you. Those are meta data tags that are not available for all
file types.

Dave,

What puzzles me is, I am using .jpg files, which
allow 'keywords' to be entered under file > properties >
summary - yet 'keywords' is not on the list of details to
view - In the absense of any other explanation, I think
it's a bug Microsoft might have to fix.

I don't think of it as a bug as such just not an option currently. Should be
a part of WinFS file system though.

mikey

just a mis understanding of what you are doing.
what shows are the columns that will be displayed in the right pane of explorer.
same list will be displayed if you right click on the header column in the right pane.
