Details view for Fonts

Can XP cause the fonts in the windows/fonts folder to be displayed in details
view every time it is opened? XP seems to be forcing the large icons view for
some reason.
Thanks.

This is how to set a default view for system folders:

1. Open the folder and set it the way way you want.

2. From the top menu, open "Folder Options".

3. Open the "View" tab then click the "Apply to All Folders" button.

4. Now you'll need to set a regular folder, like "My Documents".

5. So open "My Documents" and set your views, then repeat steps 2 & 3.

Looks to me that's the way it is designed.

Hi Bob,

My Fonts folder displays in Details view.

Hi Bob,

My Fonts folder displays in Details view.

Does it stick through a restart for you? It only lasts for the current
session for me. (despite my preference for Details view everywhere)

Yes. I haven't changed the option in years.
