Fonts

In looking at my Windows Folder in Windows XP Home Addition, I see that I
have True Type Fonts listed in C:\WINDOWS as well as in C:\WINDOWS\FONTS.
Can I safely delete the fonts listed in C:\WINDOWS and still have all of my
fonts or can I move them into the fonts folder? Why are they listed in the
C:\Windows folder rather than in the Fonts folder? Thanks for any help
anyone can give me.

No you cannot do that. XP shows many duplicates that are not duplicates at
all, just a diff view of the same files--like a shortcut to the real file. If
you delet from one, it is deleted from all. Leave them alone.
