Detach Quick Launch Bar? How?

Does any one know how to detach and dock the quick launch bar to the sides
or top of the screen? You could do this in XP easily, but not matter where I
click and drag the Quick Launch will not detach from the Start Button Bar at
the bottom of the screen.

Others in this newsgroup have said that's no longer doable in Vista. (I
never knew it could be done in XP until I moved to Vista, to tell you the
truth. )

Well, swell. Sometimes I just don't know what Microsoft is thinking... or if
they are.

It is doable on Vista Ultimate, but I can't remember how I did it. I
haven't been able to do it yet on Vista Business.

Easy:

Go to

C:\Users\{YourAccount}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

and drag the "QuickLaunch"-folder to the desired screen-border ... done.
