Quick Launch Toolbar

In Windows XP I was able to detach the quick launch toolbar and place it
anywhere on my screen that I wanted it. I have been unable to do this in
Windows Vista. If this can still be done, will someone explain to me how to
do it.

Thanks in advance,

I was not familiar with that function until someone mentioned that on this
list about a month ago.
I believe the conventional wisdom is that you can't do this in Vista. I
could be wrong, though.

Remember Vista is not XP things are different.

A more useful & powerful solution would be to use the App Launcher
Gadget, which you can detach from the side bar and place anywhere on
your desktop. (you can drag and drop any shortcut from the quick launch
bar or anywhere else into it)

You can get it here or use the Add Gadget option from within the
Sidebar.

I know about the application launcher but it is too big for what I want to do.
Thanks for your response.
