I think what they try and do is convince people to just look at the already
posted topics instead of posting new ones, because if they can keep it down
to a minimum then Microsoft will be under the impression that the outrage
isn't as bad as it really is.

In cases like this, the more threads about the situation will likely
convince them to address the situation sooner than later, i.e. 1 million
voices crying foul will be louder than a million voices hiring one person to
cry foul for them.

However many times a problem is posted in here has no effect on the MS
response. This is a peer to peer newsgroup, not MS support. Very
occasionally an MS employee will post here on their own but no officially
representing MS.

That said the OPs question was not of a technical nature, it wasn't about a
problem.

Lastly, one should always check newsgroup posts and do some research before
posting the same question again. It's a waste of time otherwise.

Why prolong the discussion in this manner? I was looking for information and
all I got was a bad feeling from all parties. It should not even be replied
to if it is inappropriate, or delete it or refer it, but six messages to say
not relevant? You'll not find much useful peer information if everyone is
parenting one another.

The Dreamscene feature will only be available in Ultimate Edition. I like it
very much but since I'm using the Business Edition, I can't enjoy it. Unless
microsoft is willing to release an add-on for that.

it was available for me today as an ultimate extra.

what was all that about it using almost no processor resources?

I go from 2% at idle without dreamscene to 40 to 50% at idle with it enabled.

That's pretty significant cpu usage. 3ghz p4 with 2gb ram and a 256mb 6800gt.

What gives?

is yours ultimate edition? if not, then you can't use the feature. Besides,
now that many ppl are complaining about the CPU usage when activating
DreamScene, I'm thinking about not using it

Now that they are previewing DreamScene will they provide the waterfall

Go to control panel, click on change desktop background, on location tag
select dream screen. Your desktop is now animated.

Much appreciated thanks, however my background is corrupted. it's not showing
the video that was reffered to earlier in the post, but just 2/3rd's of the
screen showing static. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have the french version of Vista Ultimate and I don't see the dreamscene
extra in my update. Is it only available in english ???

Same problem here, I have the French version.
The strange thing is, I had it in my Ultimate list on the 14th, but decided
to do a clean install (could not use my USB storage anymore), and now it is
gone.
I tried installing the English MUI (I had that activated the first time
also) and updating my performance score, but to no avail.
Maybe after all the performance complaints or because of another issue that
came up, they decided to remove it ?
I can only say to the others : enjoy it .
