Deleting Temp files under XP Pro 5.1 sp2

Hi, I have XP pro on my Acer travelmate 8200 laptop. My c drive is filling up
with 47 gig of files in the directory C:\windows\temp\
The names are of the format:
ACRFF58.tmp
ACRFE48.tmp etc, etc.

I deleted them all yesterday and cleared the recycle bin which freed up the
space, however today there is about 47 gig of data in there again.I am
running Semantic Antivirus, and hope this is protecting me from viruses...

Does anyone know what is causing these files to be created ?
Is there a simple solution to stopping this happening?

Thanks.

Sounds like a file created by Adobe Acrobat. Perhaps an upgrade to the
latest version would solve your problem ??

The names of the temporary files (ACR*.tmp) suggests that they are
created by Adobe Acrobat Reader. Your Adobe Acrobat Reader program
could be malfunctioning. My suggestion is not a solution, but it could
be a starting point.

I would uninstall Acrobat or Adobe Reader and reinstall from the Adobe Web
site.
