Deleting an account

I need help deleting an account. Everytime I try to
delete it, the program frezzes and says, "not
responding." If anyone knows why the program doesn,t
respond or it won't delete the account, please tell me
why and a way I can get around it. Any help would be
appreciated

Are you trying to delete it using the user accounts applet in control panel?
If so, try this:
start, run, type in: sfc /scannow
Have xp cd handy. When its done try to delete the user again.
