Defender did not uninstall AntiSpyware

I installed defender without a problem. It said it was going to uninstall
AntiSpyware - but it did not do so.
Antispyware is not visible in Control Panel Add/Remove programs.
The Uninstall Microsoft Antispyware in 'Programs' can be started but
immediately reports the error "This is only good for products which are
installed". However, every time I boot, Antispyware loads and runs just as
it did before.

Obviously it is partly uninstalled.

Please post advice on how to get rid of it.

I'm having the same problem and I've been unable to find any info anywhere on
the web on how to uninstall AntiSpyware.

Interesting that you couldn't locate it on the web, because it's being
talked about right here currently in the Install newsgroup, and how to do
it:
