Default Search Engine vs. Hotbar.com

Vicki

I recently tried Hotbar's skins (advertised in a pop-up)
and ultimately decided that while I liked the skins idea,
I didn't care for the extra toolbar and decided to unstall
it. Unbeknownst to me, it also changed my default search
engine (which I had set at MSN Search, AltaVista and
Lycos) to Results Master, which is part of Hotbar. The
only way I seem to be able to change it is to select only
one search engine in the customize settings. Whenever I
try to change it to multiple engines, Results Master keeps
coming up, overriding my customize settings. Apparently
the folks at Hotbar do not know how to correct this. Their
suggestion is to use just one search engine. Any help from
Microsoft would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks!

Try the following, no guarantees but it might work ;)

Goto Tools, Internet Options, Advanced.

Hit Restore Defaults,

Also, hit the programs tab, and click Reset Web Settings.

Restart IE.

Good Luck,

Any queries, email me :)

much like you would with your pre-installed anti-virus scanner.
