change default search provider

My IE defaults to Lycos as a search engine. I would like
to change this back to IE's own web search engine. The
help index indicates that I should use the customize
button on the Search button, but all that will allow me to
do is customize the tool bar.

Click Search > Customize. Click "Use Search Assistant". Click Find a Web
page, select MSN or whatever search you want.

I would try Ad-aware first, Spybot second. If unsuccessful with those two
programs, try HijackThis. Instructions on that same page- additional
