Clicking "Customize" on Search goes Nowhere

Lycos invaded my computer with its search engine. When I
removed it and went to "Customize" to reestablish Google
as my default search engine a window pops up with nothing
in it and stays that way. Have no way to redirect search
back to Google or any other source. Did Lycos wipe out
part of IE6.0 program?

I found another post further down on somewhat related
topic. Followed instructions and things returned to
normal. Here's the
fix:http://209.133.47.200/~merijn/files/CWShredder.exe to
remove the parasite.
Be sure to close all instances of IE and OE. You may
