Default e-mail client

Bill

Lately on my new computer, I get the following message when I
boot up my machine:

"either there is no default mail client or the current e-mail client cannot
fulfill the message request. Run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the
default mail client."

I use Outlook Express and don't want Microsoft Outlook as my default
e-mail client.

Don't know what I've done to cause a "message request".

What do I need to do to clear the "request" and eliminate the offending
message.

Thanks,
Bill
