Date Stamp in Notes

Does someone have a simple foolproof way to add a Date Stamp to the Notes
section of the Contacts form?

I tried some recommendations by Diane (thanks), but couldn't figure out how
to get them to work.

Thanks. I guess I figured there would be an "easy" and free way to do this
since this seems like a standard feature of any contact manager.
