Dammit - Monitor Settings

D

Dr Richard Cranium

i like you techneque to adjust the monitor, these have migrated to include pitch and phase
for tft flatscreen.

To get the amazing directX 9 effects in my games; after I press "auto adjust".I use a
gamma setting of .85 to .90, then I adjust the monitor settings. I adjust pitch and
phase at the desktop, for clarity of text. I play games with the lights out, well with
enough background like to see the keyboard, mouse, wheel, controller. I've just purchased
a microsoft black keyboard - which requires more background light to see it. Bottom
line - i really adjust everything to see all the directX 9 effects ingame.

Hello,

Just read in an earlier post about configuration of monitors with regards to
brightness etc. I have, simply, always connected every monitor I have ever
had and left it at it's default settings. Then again, I may have put the
brightness up a notch but that is it.

All games look fine, none too dark or very bright etc.

So, would you all suggest a config of a monitor each and every time!

Thanks!
Dam6
