That's incorrect. Please reread the start of the "PL issues" thread. I
thought the proposal should be discussed in ACF.

I am a long-time lurker.

When Susan first posted, my instinct was that the person doing the
work should choose the working environment that best suited her. After
what has transpired in the last week or so, I am less convinced that
was the actual reason for the various threads.

Susan first posted that Genna's plans for a change were vague and that
was why she brought the matter up in the newsgroup. What followed was
that Genna answered the questions which were directed at her while
Susan was selective and evasive when tackling questions asked of her.

We were asked to vote twice on a move. Other than Susan's arguments
that the site was fine as it was and that there was no need for the
change that Genna had planned, we were given no insight as to why that
was necessary. Now, we are told that the new site will be different
and that it will involve various people.

Susan has not been forthcoming with information, holding back both in
form and content. While I don't believe that a vote is needed (1), it
would be more honest for Susan to outline what her true plans are
before we are asked to take a vote. As of now, it does appear that
Susan is the one manipulating us for control of the list by being less
than frank with us.

(1) Is there anything stopping anyone from creating a pricelesseware
page if they so desire? The key issue is the vote for the programs
that make up the list, is it not?

Susan is not a devious person.
Maybe emotional, she is a human being, but not devious.

She is probably the only one who is prepared to put down the time and
effort needed to keep up the quality level she has made us take for
granted by now.
We are prepared to bend over a little to give her the working conditions
she feels she can work with. She is worth it and she deserves it.

Do you have any better idea?

Well, you finally proved how ****ing stupid you are. This quote of
yours is completely opposite to what is going on here:
I am not blasting Genna. I do not know her personally, and she has
never done anything personally to me to offend me, that I am aware of.
To set the record straight, Mr. $hitsimons, GENNA wants to change the
format, NOT SUSAN.
Susan is not familiar with the style and/or technique of the format that
Genna wants. This is why the vote to move. If Susan is to continue to
do all of the work, the format must be something SUSAN is familiar and
comfortable with, and if moving the list to another host site is the
only way that Susan can continue her volunteer work, then the list must
be moved to another location.

her files elsewhere. She still has that choice. Nothing has changed.

the few who were disgusted with the whole situation and have temporarily
left the group. You are wearing blinders if you think nothing has
changed.

Because I don't agree with the character assassination of Genna by
Susan. The whole point of these threads is for people to say how
wonderful Susan is and how horrible Genna is. I disagree with that

The overwhelming majority appear to want you to remain as Webmaster.
If you feel that remaining with the existing host is NOT possible for

Many have questioned the retention of the existing name or domain and
feel that this is an important issue (I agree). It is an issue which
might be resolved with the use of an intermediary. Henks services may
be useful in this regard.

Why need an intermediary ? Has Genna said that there is any problem
with someone taking over the domain ? I don't think so. If I am wrong
then perhaps someone can refer me to the post where she says that
she refuses to let it go.
