Customising the DEFAULT Messages view

Hi all.

I really don't like the look of Outlook 2003 which we have been forced
to upgrade to. The Inbox is using the 'Messages' view and I can change
the look to a more retro feel by going
View / Arrange By / Current View / Customise Current View...
and then I can go
Other Settings... /
and turn off 'Grid line style:' and 'Show items in Groups'.
Whew!

Great. But that won't change the default Messages View, so every other
folder that uses the Messages view eg. Deleted Items, Sent items, ALL
of my personal folders etc. That's pretty useless.

How do I change tyhe DEFAULT Messages view so that it changes all of my
folders that use this view? Does anyone know?
I realise that Microsoft have the attitude that their software knows
best, and i shouldn't try and make my own decisions, but if it can be
done I would love to know how.

Thanks
Simon

Thanks Jocelyn. This does seem to be the place to go to change the
default view. I had tried this before and I have found that it hasn't
changed all of my personal folders. It does mean that any new folder I
set up has this view however.

Maybe Outlook had already decided that my personal folders were already
individually customised and that is why they are not affected. I did
upgrade an existing mailbox to Outlook 2003 - it's not a new install.

Thanks again
Simon
