I have WindowsXP Home Edition.
When I try to install Windows Critical Updates (or any
other software for that matter), I get an error message
saying I don't have Administrator permissions (even though
I'm logged in with administrative privileges). I even went
into safe mode and tried installing critical updates
logged in as administrator from safe mode. Got same
message about not having administrative permissions.
Is administrative user permissions file corrupted? Is
there a way to fix this without reinstalling OS?
