Critical Update KB828026 (Windows Media Script Command)

When I run Help/Support/Update, download KB828026 keeps
reappearing as a "Critical Update". When I check my
Installation History, I find 4 instances of a successful
installation of this file. I am running Windows Media
9.00. While it doesn't appear to be a problem, why can't
XP stop scanning for the download?
