Creating a recovery cd.

WinXP, in an of itself, has no such function. Some computer
manufacturers do supply a utility for the purpose.
I want to create the recovery CD that the machine was prompting me for
before. (It would prompt me to make a cd and the first few times I said
prompt me later). Now, on startup, it is not prompting me anymore. My
guess is that the kids clicked the option to not prompt me anymore.

Contact the computer manufacturer for assistance in using their
specific recovery technique.

This is a function the vendor created not an operating system function.
You'll need to get in touch with the pc vendor for instructions.

Depending on the maker of your computer it will differ.
Go to Start, All Programs and look for Utilities or Tools with the name of
your computer manufacturer or anything like this and it should have
something there to click on to make the recovery CD.
