creating a 2nd DC ?

Hi,

I would like to run DC promo on my 2k exchange server to create another DC
for the same domain - simply as a backup.

Can I just lanch the DC promo tool and run through the install without too
many issues ?

i should point out that the server currently runs:

- 2k exchange (smtp + pop3)
- Software Update Services.
- Norton Antivirus Corporate edition source server.
- Tobit Faxware central services.

You shouldn't hit any issues in your DC promotion. DCPromo will walk you
through the process.Essentially you are just tasking the server to run more
services and to maintain a repository of information for your domain.

Verify that you have enough disk space as well as a powerful enough
processor and enough RAM to accomplish the new tasks it will be handling
without taking a huge performance hit.

Finally, I would back up the machine first just in case an issue does arise.
