CPU error after installing SP1a

Jamp

After installing SP1a my computer fails to start claiming
I have an improper CPU frequency setting.

It only runs the first command screens and then re-boots.

Windows XP Home edition has too many bugs - I need the
service pack to work!

Help!

Thanks, Jamp

And what setting do you have in your over-clocked computer?
You might reset the FSB/CPU to a standard speed, get it to
boot and then try the OC again if you must.

That's coming from the BIOS, not Windows. You'll need to go into the BIOS
and verify the settings for the type of CPU you have. If you're unfamiliar
with this see the manual or contact the computer vendor.

Don't overclock if you don't know what you are doing. You can destroy your
M/B!

Its not XP but its your overclocked CPU, reset it to a lower MHz so
that XP will work correctly.
