Copying Slides with background pictures

C

Carolyn

I have created a power point presentation using Power
Point 2000. I copy and write this presentation to CD. Then
I copy the presentation slides to a new presentation on my
laptop which uses Power Point 2002. When I copy the slides
I lose the background image. Why???? Is it because I am
using different versions? Is there some sort of trick to
copying slides when you use images as the background?

When copying into PPT 2002 you need to use the Smart Tags, which are small
"buttons" that when clicked bring up a menu. But to simplify, do this:
- In PPT 2002, go to INSERT >> SLIDES FROM FILES.
- Click Browse and locate your presentation
- Click the KEEP SOURCE FORMATTING box in the lower left
- Click INSERT ALL (or a selection range if needed)
Presentation should now have your slides inserted with their original
background and formatting.
