Copying folders from c: drive to removable disk

I am having a problem copying some folders which I have created since my last
backup. The problem is ONLY occurring with these folders as others are OK.

I right click on the folder and then use the 'send to' command from the menu
but I am getting an error message saying: "Cannot create or replace
[Folder]. The directory or file cannot be created".

I have tried going into Properties and removing the read only attribute, as
the read-only box is checked (I do not recall adding this attribute). However
this attribute seems to be adding itself back in without my doing even when
I remove it.

Can anyone help please?
