I follow the instructions as stated in the tut movie you linked. I get as
far as the 'Saving Movie' dialoge box. The counter sits at 0% and the time
remaining continues to climb. I have left it to increase to over 2500 mins
before giving up. Any ideas??

I should also state that the audio files I have in the movie are mp3's.
Would this cause a problem?

A lot of them actually.
There are many possible reason's that your movie won't save.
A bad file or codec, an unsupported filetype, a project that's too complex
(not likely though since it never gets above 0%) etc...
The best advice to give you here is to go to Papajohn's website
(www.papajohn.org) "Problem Solving -> Can't save a movie" it lists what I
said here along with possible solutions as well as some other potential
issues.

Sometimes they work sometimes they don't.
Try converting them to WMA or WAV and save the movie using those to see if
it works.
