control panel error

when i click on control panel i get the following:
an error occurred while windows was working with the control panel file
c:\winnt\system32\netsetup.cpl i then click ok, the message goes away and
the control panel appears. more of a nuissance than anything. anyone's help
would be greatly appreciated.

have same problem, got a reply and tried it.. works!! Have verizon dsl in
their package is a startup file Ipmon32 which sp2 thinks is spyware. Used
msconfig to uncheck this file on startup...doesn't hurt your dsl connection

thanks alot mam i just tried it and it seems to have done the trick, and yes
i do have the verizon dsl
that sure was annoying huh ? again thanx
