Control panel Category View

While in performance and maint. under subject I chose the
best performance option. Now I no longer have category
view. How do I restore category view to the control panel?

Try this.
Open Control Panel | Click the Folders icon in the top Toolbar |
Does Category View now appear as a choice in the left hand pane,
under Control Panel?

Tools | Folder Options | General tab | Check: Show common tasks in folders

Apply | OK
