contact/address book trouble.

Can someone explain the difference between contacts and address book? I have
a bunch of contacts in my contacts folder. Are my contacts stored in an
address book? Do I have to create an address book? Thanks

An address book is an electronic view of all the containers/folders that
hold address type items, a one stop shop if you like that brings all the
address type information together.
